Hey there,
I'm Lorenzo!
"A Belgian author, IT service professional, and photographer whose work reflects a deep commitment to envisioning a more harmonious and inclusive future."
Born in the picturesque maritime city of Oostende, Belgium, in 1972. At the age of 12, I swapped the serene Belgian shores for the vibrant, sun-drenched landscapes of southern Italy, just a stone's throw from Naples.
In my early twenties, I returned to Belgium and ended up deep in the world of IT support services and management. Fast forward a few decades, and I’m now Service Product Owner for international Service Desk solutions at Computacenter. (Yes, it sounds complicated. No, I don’t fix printers.)
My passions and professional life revolves around technology, which sneakily fuels my creative side.
In 2024, I published my debut novel, The Voyage of the Unicorn, a mix of science fiction, philosophy, and romance that dares to imagine a future where humans, AI, and nature finally play nice together.
The book started as a legacy for my son, Andreas, but quickly grew into a broader reflection on where society might (and should) be heading.
Before writing, I spent some time behind a camera, trying to capture moments that feel timeless: landscapes, textures, light — the same kind of contemplative vibe you’ll find in my stories.
I live in Overijse, near Brussels, with my partner Svitlana, our son Andreas, and our cat Borneo (who firmly believes he owns the house, and might be right).
